Here some of the most commonly asked questions about scalp micropigmentation.
Does Scalp Micropigmentation eventually fade?
Color fading to is a normal occurrence when we are injecting ink into the skin. The ink used during the Scalp Micropigmentation process does fade over time but only to a lighter color such as is the case with a normal tattoo. As the ink ages and the skin replenishes itself it will only fade to a lighter color. With maintenance, however, you may never see your tone fade at all. Following a daily regime of sunscreen and sometimes touch ups will keep the look for years.
Does Scalp micropigmentation really look real in person?
YES!!! It is unbelievable how realistic these tiny dots give to your appearance. Scalp micropigmentation an art. The quality and care taken by our specialists is impeccable. We understand the importance of the look desired. Why else would you be coming in for the procedure if it wasn’t to come out looking your best. Our clients cannot believe the impact this treatment bestows upon their life. Just look at our gallery. Read our reviews. The proof is in the pudding.
Is there a difference between scalp micropigmentation and tattoos?
Absolutely. Although scalp micropigmentation is similar to a tattoo, there are major differences. First, the scalp micropigmentation process uses a different machine. Similar to that of a permanent makeup machine, the needles are smaller and inject ink at a different speed. We also only penetrate the upper dermis as opposed to tattoos which goes through various layers when injecting ink. The ink used is also not the same as tattoo ink and does not change color.
Why do people get Scalp micropimentation after hair loss surgery?
Unfortunately, other hair solutions involve going under the knife. These solutions also cause unsightly scarring. Not everyone heals the same and in many cases the scarring is worse than the balding. Scalp micropigmentation is the solution to hiding these ugly scars.
Do I have to shave my head?
All scalp micropigmentation treatments vary. Some clients only need to fill in areas that may seem to be thinning, others need to camouflage bald spots or scars. It is not always necessary for you to shave your head but it may be the best solution. Only way to find out is to come for a free consultation. Let’s work together to find the best solution for your unique look.
